A perfect world An English project

Minecraft educational edition Minecraft educational is a game that allows the players to create their own world. In the educational edition, you have contact with your teacher and your other classmates inside the game. You are able to take photographs and write in a book – inside the game And a lot more…

A perfect world You will be a part of a group Your assignment is to vision a perfect world together in your group and then create that world in Minecraft Educational Edition You will chat and talk with students from the other groups and ask them questions about their world. You need to do this because you will later vote for which world you want to live in (you can’t pick your own) You need to be ready to answer questions from other groups On the last day of this project, you will giva a SHORT presentation of your world. Then you will vote. The world that gets most votes will win a prize!  During this project, you will write in a log after each lesson

How? During this project, we will go through different things, such as: - What does a president do? - What does a country need? - How to create a country - What successful decisions have been made by famous leaders before? - Some history - How does it look in different countries when it comes to laws and rules, economy, education, welfare etc. You will also learn different words during this project

How? Lectures Communication - with others in your group - with other worlds - with the teacher - try to convince others that your world is the best to live in Collaburation - collaborate with each other in your group so you make good decisions - Create the world TOGETHER - make a plan together and delegate tasks between you

How? Not everyone needs to play the game, it is enough if just a few do that. However, everyone needs to participate in some way. There are a lot of things that need to be done outside the game, for example: - Create/paint your flag - Make a list of laws and rules - Come up with traditions - you need to do a sketch on how you want the world to look - come up with social systems, rules, and norms - Come up with answers to questions like welfare, education, healthcare, economy, military, punishments when law is broken etc. - Maybe you need to do some research?

Create your own world How would a perfect world be like? What laws and social rules? What traditions? How are the human conditions? Welfare All equal? Money or trade? Which roles are needed in a good world? Police, teachers, doctors etc. how are they prioritised in your world? Think about wages and power to make own decisions. Collaboration with other worlds etc. for trade and alliance in war.

W. 3 Wednesday – Introduce this project, announce your groups, watch a short introduction to Minecraft educational edition. Create accounts. Start planning Friday – Lectures: What does a country need? How to create a country. At least one from each group needs to start creating the world inside the game. It is good if you have done a short sketch of how you want it to look: how many houses, with what color? W. 4 Wednesday – Lectures on youtube: - What does a president do? What successful decisions have been made by famous leaders before? Continue working on the project. Planning, coming up with things. Build inside the game Friday – Lecture on youtube: - Some history. How does it look in different countries when it comes to laws and rules, economy, education, welfare etc. Continue working inside the game but also outside, deciding laws, rules, social standard etc. W. 5 – Wednesday – Continue working inside the game but also outside, deciding laws, rules, social standard etc. Lecture: tips for speaking test. Friday - Continue working inside the game but also outside, deciding laws, rules, social standard etc. Some will have speaking with me W. 6 – Wednesday – Continue working inside the game but also outside, deciding laws, rules, social standard etc. Some will have speaking with me Friday – start to chat and talk with other worlds!
