2  Craft, design and technology education is a very unique branch of science in the world
- and internationalization is one of the main aims in the strategy of the University of Turku. So it is a true pleasure to see that representatives from 36 universities and 12 countries are meeting each other in Rauma campus and sharing the newest research results and experiences in this international conference. I hope fruitful discussions among the participants promote collaboration related to craft, design, technology and education. The best of success for the Make it NOW -conference! 3 Bästa konferensdeltagare!
Finland har varit glad och nöjd att agera som ordförande i Nordiska ministerrådet i år. Vi har ett digert nordiskt ordförandeskapsprogram både inom utbildnings- och forskningssektorn, inom kultur och även inom ungdomspolitik. Centralt i vårt sektorprogram har varit målsättningen att se på hela kunskapskedjan, ända från småbarnpedagogik till livslångt lärande och forskning. Det samarbete som görs inom dessa sektorer berör nordbor och medborgarsamhället på ett mycket konkret sätt: det är mobilitet, projekt och upplevelser för barn, unga, studerande, lärare och forskare. Under ordförandeskapsåret har vi speciellt på undervisnings- och kulturministeriums område kunnat se att många aktörer, sakkunniga och specialister  - liksom ni som är aktiva i NordFo - från hela Norden har velat samlas till sina möten och konferenserna  i Finland. Det har varit mycket glädjande se hur nordiska nätverk fungerar bra och har tätt samarbete inom olika områden. Jag har stor glädje att önska  er alla hjärtligt  välkomna  och samtidigt  önska framgång till NordFos konferens i Raumo. Intressanta konferensteman och aktiva diskussioner under konferensdagarna  kommer säkert att stimulera och utveckla vidare  NordFos verksamhet. At Meeting in front of the Library building At Guided Old Rauma Walking Tour starting from the Rauma City Hall, Kanalinranta 3.  2 English and 1 Finnish speaking guide. Conference dinner on Thursday Sept. 29 will take place at Restaurant Wuojoki, in Vuojoki Mansion. The dinner will be preceded by a guided introduction tour to the history and presence of Vuojoki Mansion. Bus transportation from the conference venue (in front of Main Building) to Vuojoki Mansion at 18:00. Expected return back from Vuojoki around 22:30.
