We do this by analyzing, preventing, coordinating and establishing a state of readiness.

Establishment of a special task force Talmanus – kort version: MSB genomför sedan februari 2017 ett arbete för att stödja skyddet av valet MSB har under 2017 delgivit en förberedande lägesbild, genomfört utbildningar av valadministrationen. Under 2018 kommer MSB stödja samverkan och kommunikationssamordning. MSB kommer under 2018 att ha höjd beredskap för att tillsätta en särskild organisation för att stödja skyddet av valet. MSB kommer även att öka egen förmåga att identifiera och möta informationspåverkan mot valet. Talmanus – lång version: MSB genomför sedan februari 2017 ett arbete för att stödja skyddet av valet MSB påbörjande arbetet genom samverkan, analys och delgivning av en förberedande lägesbild till valadministrationen. Under hösten 2017 utbildade MSB valmyndigheten, alla länsstyrelser och samtliga kommuner för att skapa en förståelse för utmaningen och behovet av ett förberedande arbete hos kommunerna. Under 2018 har MSB påböjar ett arbete för att förbereda den ordinarie samordningsstrukturen för valet, samt etablerat två särskilda samverkansforum inför valet för att öka den nationella förmågan till samordning, MSB har även etablerat särskild samverkan med sociala medier. Under 2018 genomför MSB framtagning av en handbok för kommunikatörer som syftar till att öka deras förmåga att hantera informationspåverkan. MSB finansierar även forskning och studier inom området informationspåverkan. Med fokus på egen verksamhet kommer MSB inför valet att öka den egna förmåga att identifiera och möta informationspåverkan (och andra hot mot valet) bland annat genom att förbereda en särskilda organisation för att hantera eventuella samhällsstörningar i samband med valet.

The Swedish election system is robust Manual, decentralized, transparent. Trust in the system needs to be protected We need to reduce vulnerabilities and increase capacity. Influence Activities cannot be ruled out It cannot be ruled out that a foreign power will try to influence the 2018 general election. Therefore we must prepare ourselves. Sweden is much better prepared now than a year ago Preparations has produced good results - but we need to continue the work until the elections and beyond. Det svenska valsystemet är robust.
